What is safeguarding in sport?
Safeguarding is the process and methods to keep young people safe in sport.
Ensuring safety is the first step to support their mental health and well-being, especially for those who have felt unsafe due to their experiences of displacement or other stressors. Safeguarding is equally as important for adults as for children and young people (1).
